When another family claims something you've listed, you earn Points once the exchange is complete. Then you can put those Points toward whatever your own family needs next. A smaller pile in the closet, a little help with the next size up.
You'll see shipping and platform fees before you pay. Points cover the items, while those fees are paid separately. Local pickup has a platform fee too, but no shipping charge.
