Privacy

Your street address is not your Town address.

We use your account and shipping details to help exchanges happen. Your public place in Town has its own address, separate from your real street address.

The details you share

You use an email address and password to sign in, and we send account notices to that email. When you set up your home, you also provide a shipping address to use as the origin for prepaid labels.

Your listings include photos, descriptions, condition, and category. If you use help with your listing, your photos can be used to create a draft for you to review. Your Town profile can also include a photo and the home you choose to show.

You pay shipping and platform fees through the app's checkout. If you report a problem, the report includes the exchange details needed to look into it.

What other families see

Other families can see your Town address, your home, and your listings. You can coordinate with each other through an exchange, including sharing pickup instructions when you offer local pickup.

Your real street address isn't displayed as your public address in Town. Neighbors see the Town address assigned to your home.

How those details are used

Your email helps you sign in and receive account notices. Your shipping address tells us where a package starts and goes on the label. Photos and descriptions make up your listings, while your Town address, home, and character interactions are part of life in Town. Problem reports help us review an exchange.

You don't need to publish your real street address on your Trading Post.
